Dependent AD&D Enhances Assurant Employee Benefits’ Voluntary Life Coverage
Several new features and enhancements have been added to Assurant Employee Benefits’ Voluntary Life coverage to increase its value for employees, employers and producers.
Dependent Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) coverage is now available on a standard basis at a single rate when an employee purchases Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage. Dependent AD&D benefit amounts match any dependent Life benefit amounts, doubling the amount of total coverage available for an employee’s dependents. As a result, employees have a greater opportunity to purchase the level of insurance they need for their families at an affordable cost.
In addition, an employee’s age may now be used for determining spouse premium. This change allows for easier plan administration by both employers and producers.
These enhancements to the Voluntary Life coverage are another example of Assurant Employee Benefits’ ongoing commitment to strengthening its position as a leader in employee-paid employee benefits.
