Assurant Employee Benefits launches comprehensive service platform
Assurant Works focuses on customer need
Kansas City, Mo. (December 12, 2008) – Strengthening its commitment to providing outstanding customer service, Assurant Employee Benefits announces the launch of its comprehensive service platform, Assurant Works. Assurant Works incorporates a full complement of enhancements designed to meet the needs of customers. It particularly benefits those purchasing voluntary (employee-paid) employee benefits.
Among the changes accompanying the introduction are two new roles created to enhance the company’s customer experience. Employee Benefit Advisors and Employee Benefit Specialists each have responsibility for key customer contacts throughout the voluntary benefits process, from facilitating enrollment meetings to renewals.
The individuals serving in the two new roles will be the primary users of Assurant Employee Benefits’ new Worksite Enrollment tool. This web-based tool uses the most up-to-date technology and employer census data to provide pre-payroll deduction reports to employers more quickly following enrollments for voluntary employee benefits.
Worksite Enrollment allows systematic capture of employee information from an electronic census and easy entry of benefit elections to create a Voluntary Deduction Report (VDR). That report enables the employer to determine how much to deduct from employees’ paychecks earlier in the enrollment process.
The additions and enhancements included with Assurant Works are the latest examples of Assurant Employee Benefits’ ongoing commitment to strengthening its position as a leader in voluntary employee benefits. The company is focused on tools, services and products that will provide customers a simple, accurate and convenient voluntary benefits experience.
