Assurant Employee Benefits Names New Sales Manager for Carolinas

Hybarger brings 20 years of experience to role

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (October 22, 2007) — Assurant Employee Benefits, a nationwide marketer of employee benefit products headquartered in Kansas City, has named R. Chris Hybarger as its sales manager based in Charlotte, N.C., serving employers in both North Carolina and South Carolina. 

Hybarger most recently served as a senior sales executive for Sun Life Financial, responsible for the sale of group insurance products. He also served seven years at Genworth Financial in Charlotte, and held positions in management and sales for Phoenix Home Life and Phoenix Mutual. Throughout his career, Hybarger has won multiple sales awards for his accomplishments.

"Chris' track record as an effective manager makes him a natural fit to assume responsibility for our Charlotte office," said Peter Cook, vice president of sales. Hybarger holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Georgia. He is a member of the board of directors for The Toy Wall Foundation and serves as a 1st Lieutenant on the Bethel, S.C. Volunteer Fire Department.

Hybarger resides in Lake Wylie, S.C. with his wife and three children. In his spare time, he enjoys boating, fishing, snow skiing, and camping.
