Assurant Employee Benefits Announces National 2006 Sales Award Winners
Company lives its values by celebrating its people
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — (April 25, 2007) — Assurant Employee Benefits has announced its sales award winners for 2006. Awards include the President's Award, Senior Vice President's Award, Coach of the Year award, Rookie of the Year award, and Office of the Year awards.
The coveted awards were given to select employees and offices across the nation and speak to each employee's or office's dedication to sales and company development. The winners have proven themselves to be above and beyond the company's already high standards.
“All of our winners embody professionalism and knowledge excellence,” said Marc Warrington, senior vice president of sales. “They are being rightly honored for their solution-oriented approaches to clients in their sales territories.”
Assurant Employee Benefits believes acknowledging the winners' distinguished strengths and abilities will set an example for many of the other sales managers and sales representatives throughout the company.
“Our winners' tenacity, knowledge, dedication, and sincere desire to provide solutions to our customers are inspiring!” said Warrington.
The 2006 Assurant Employee Benefits award recipients include the following:
President's Award
The President's Award is the single-most prestigious award that can be earned by a member of the sales organization. This year, Assurant Employee Benefits found it necessary to co-present the award to two individuals who generated the most premium from groups under 500 lives and consistently demonstrated professionalism and contribution to the company.
- Chris Roberts — metropolitan Atlanta sales territory out of the Atlanta Group Sales Office
- Adrian Tighe — San Jose, Calif., sales territory out of the Sacramento Group Sales Office
Senior Vice President's Award
There are five Senior Vice President's awards distributed for sales excellence. These awards are given to employees who submit the most voluntary new business premium, sell the largest number of voluntary coverage, submit the most true group new business premium in cases under 500 lives, or sell the most prepaid dental. (Voluntary coverages are those sold to employees via payroll deduction.)
- Lisa Margiotti — Central Pennsylvania sales territory out of the Philadelphia Group Sales Office
- Joe Oberle — Tampa and Tallahassee, Fla., sales territories based out of the Tampa Group Sales Office
- Chris Roberts — metropolitan Atlanta sales territory out of the Atlanta Group Sales Office
- Pete Stam — Raleigh/Durham, N.C., sales territory out of the Charlotte Group Sales Office
- Adrian Tighe — San Jose, Calif., sales territory out of the Sacramento Group Sales Office
Coach of the Year Award
The Coach of the Year award is the most prestigious award that can be won by a sales manager. It is won by the manager whose office has achieved over 100 percent of its goal, who has the largest percentage of sales reps achieve over 100 percent of their sales goals, and who demonstrates commitment to sales representative development by utilizing coaching skills on a frequent and consistent basis.
- Scott Dillon — Philadelphia Group Sales Office
Rookie of the Year Award
The Rookie of the Year award is given to an employee who is in his or her first full calendar year selling with the company and has less than two years' experience in insurance sales.
- Jeremy Fink — Cincinnati sales territory out of the Cincinnati Group Sales Office
Office of the Year Award
Office of the Year awards honor outstanding teamwork among all members of the staff in addition to sales and persistency achievement. Sales offices are classified into three divisions by sales volume; one office in each division is named Office of the Year.
Winners for 2006 are the Minneapolis Group Sales Office (serving Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and northern Wisconsin), the Philadelphia Group Sales Office (located in Radnor, Penn., and serving eastern Pennsylvania), and the Sacramento Group Sales Office (serving northeastern California and most of Nevada).
