Prepaid Dental Copays for Orthodontics Make it Easier for Florida Families to Afford Braces
New Assurant Employee Benefits program gives eligible parents something to smile about
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Feb. 1, 2007) - Florida parents currently without dental insurance now have a prepaid dental option for family orthodontic needs thanks to a new initiative announced by Assurant Employee Benefits' under its Florida Heritage Series prepaid dental plans. With the average cost of braces typically starting at $3,000 and reaching nearly $7,000, Assurant Employee Benefits recognizes a growing need for orthodontic copayments to make treatment more affordable for families.
"This prepaid option allows local employers to offer benefits to employees and dependents enrolled in the prepaid dental plan," said James Gimarelli, D.M.D., vice president of dental at Assurant Employee Benefits. "Plan features like the addition of orthodontic copays offer parents peace of mind knowing their children have access to more affordable orthodontic care."
Assurant Employee Benefits' new orthodontic copay plan allows children under 18 to benefit from in-network orthodontists with affordable out-of-pocket copays. The plan also offers a 25 percent discount on orthodontic services not listed on the copayment schedule.
