Larry Meitl Promoted to Vice President by Assurant Employee Benefits
New vice president of sales brings 20 years of experience to the area
SEATTLE – Assurant Employee Benefits has named Larry Meitl as vice president of sales.
Meitl first joined Assurant Employee Benefits in 1985 as a sales representative in Los Angeles. He was selected to lead the Michigan sales office and then moved to Phoenix to open their sales office. In 1996, Meitl left Assurant Employee Benefits, but returned in 2001 to become the sales manager in the Seattle/Portland Group Sales Office.
As vice president of sales, he is responsible for the Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis and Seattle/Portland sales offices.
Under his leadership, the Seattle/Portland sales office has won the Office of the Year award in 2002, 2003 and 2004. Meitl has also qualified for the President's Conference every year that he has been at Assurant Employee Benefits.
Meitl graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing. He and his wife, Jane, live in Seattle with their two sons, Brock and Beau.
