Desjardins to Lead Boston Sales Office for Assurant Employee Benefits
New sales manager brings over 15 years of experience to the Boston area
BOSTON - Assurant Employee Benefits has named Don Desjardins, RHU, REBC, sales manager for the Boston Group Sales Office.
Desjardins joined the company as a voluntary sales representative in 2003 and was promoted to senior sales representative in January 2006. His prior experience includes four years at Ameritas Group Dental and Eye Care where he served as a sales representative and sales officer. Desjardins also worked at Health Plan Services/Consolidated Group, and John Alden Life Insurance, all in the New England area.
"Don's demeanor with the sales representatives in his office and his ability to cultivate relationships with the brokerage community make him a natural fit for a management role," said Mark Sylvester, vice president of sales. "His knowledge of the industry and his own personal sales success will also help him lead the Boston sales team to greater success."
Desjardins is a graduate of Fitchburg State College in Fitchburg, Mass. He and his wife, Jill, have six children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and working out. Desjardins and his family currently reside in Sturbridge, Mass.
