Tom Chalfant joins Assurant Employee Benefits
Insurance veteran is new sales representative serving the Austin area
AUSTIN, Texas – Assurant Employee Benefits – formerly Fortis Benefits – has named Tom Chalfant sales representative for its Austin Group Sales Office.
Chalfant joins Assurant Employee Benefits with six years of experience in the insurance industry. Chalfant relocated to Austin from San Francisco, where he was a senior account executive for the past two years with CNA Group Benefits. He grew revenue there and re-introduced the company to a market from which it had long been absent. Previously, Chalfant was an employee benefits consultant with Standard Insurance Co. and Northern California team leader with E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co.

Chalfant is a graduate of the University of Kansas in Lawrence, where he majored in business administration.
