Scope and Applicability

Assurant Employee Benefits ("we," "us," "our") provides this Web site solely for the convenience of our agents, policyholders, members, and participating providers. The following Terms and Conditions apply to www.assurantemployeebenefits.com (the "Site").

We require that you (the "User") adhere to the following Terms and Conditions of this Site. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using this Site. By accessing this Site, User acknowledges that he/she has read, understands and accepts each of the Terms and Conditions. If the User does not agree to all these Terms and Conditions, he/she should not use this Site.

Assurant Employee Benefits is committed to the security and confidentiality of information in our care. The following summarizes our security regarding the information on this Site:

Information Security

Assurant Employee Benefits implements and maintains administrative, technical, and physical controls and processes as necessary to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information accessed, processed, transmitted and stored on this Site. Our internal controls and processes help ensure that information, once provided to us, is appropriately safeguarded.

To ensure information security for this Site, we utilize 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption, which scrambles information transmitted to and from this Site such that the information cannot be read by an unauthorized individual.

User's Responsibilities

The User may receive a unique password and login ID to access information on this Site. The User is responsible for ensuring that his/her password and login ID remain confidential. In addition, the User should consider a password and login ID that are appropriately "strong." A "strong" password and login ID is easy to remember but hard to guess (for password guidance, see: https://www.assurant.com/it/arch/guidelns.jsp). The User should not share his/her password and/or login ID at any time. In the event of compromise of password and/or login ID, the User should contact the online support team as soon as possible. User also agrees to practice good faith in all transactions and will not knowingly perform any activity that would be detrimental to Assurant Employee Benefits. Misrepresenting, obscuring, suppressing, or replacing a User's identity on any Assurant Employee Benefits' electronic communications system is forbidden. The user name, electronic mail address, organizational affiliation, and related information provided by a User must reflect the actual originator of the messages or postings. If information is accessed accidentally on this Site which is not intended for the User's utilization, any dissemination, distribution, or copying of such information is prohibited. If any information is received by the User in error, User will immediately destroy such information and notify Assurant Employee Benefits.

E-Mail Security

In general, email is not a secure medium for communications. Email messages can be intercepted and read by others on the Internet. We do not recommend that the User communicate to us sensitive or confidential information via email.

No Guarantees for Security or Confidentiality

No security measures are impenetrable. As such, we cannot guarantee absolute information security and confidentiality.

Severability of Provisions

If any provision of this User Agreement shall be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this User Agreement and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
