Community partnering

John Roberts, President/CEO

At Assurant Employee Benefits we are proud of the work we do in our local communities. We encourage our employees to give their time to help make our world a better place.

Our efforts focus on:

  • Education: emphasis on alternative education, retraining and mentoring/tutoring programs;
  • Health and social welfare: emphasis on benefit solutions, such as assisting disabled or displaced workers, their families, and people with special needs;
  • Neighborhood preservation: emphasis on building community spirit and improving the quality of life through crime prevention programs, revitalization and environmental projects, neighborhood and youth programs, recreational projects, financial education, race relations and sensitivity to cultural differences.

Matching gifts program

We encourage employees to provide financial assistance to charitable organizations and educational institutions that reflect their individual interests and concerns. Through our Matching Gifts program, we join with employees to support those institutions and organizations that operate for the benefit of the general public good.

Each year, employees donate thousands of hours of service to our communities from organizing blood drives as well as numerous food, clothing, supply and holiday gift drives, and held fund-raising events to benefit dozens of charities.
